Served for six years as Judge of the Hawaii Third Circuit District Court. Earned her J.D. from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She served as a public servant for 28 years. She served as the County of Hawaii’s Deputy Corporation Counsel and Deputy Planning Director, as well as State of Hawaii, Deputy Attorney General.


Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel Associate attorney. Chaired the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women. Served as delegate to the White House Forum on Women & the Economy. Served as a Board of Governor on the Hawaii Community Foundation. Served on the Board of the the Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and Kona Japanese Civic Association.

Contributor to the American Bar Association publications, “Dear Sisters, Dear Daughters: Strategies for Success for Multicultural Women Attorneys” and “Dear Sisters, Dear Daughters: Words of Wisdom from Multicultural Women Attorneys Who’ve Been There and Done That.”
During WWII her parents were in the internment camp at Jerome,  rkansas, and Poston, Arizona.


Margaret is married to Gail and have two daughters Colette and Jana.
